SCAT Sauce is developed for Jake Merritt and published by SCAT Sounds. The original SCAT application files, plugin credits, and installer carry his attribution and copyright notice: © 2026 Jake Merritt.

These notices record the product’s credited owner and publisher. They do not constitute a copyright or trademark registration.

GPLv3 distribution

SCAT Sauce is distributed under the GNU General Public License, version 3 only. The corresponding application source and JUCE dependency source are included with the installer in Program Files → SCAT Sauce → SCAT-Sauce-Source.zip.

Recipients retain the rights provided by GPLv3, including the rights to use, modify, and redistribute covered code. Charging for a copy does not remove those rights.

Third-party components

JUCE, the VST3 SDK, and other included dependencies retain their respective copyrights and licenses. Jake Merritt’s attribution applies to the original SCAT material, not to those dependencies. Their notices are preserved in the included source.

Website components

The website also uses open-source libraries. Their upstream licenses and attribution notices are preserved separately from the SCAT Sauce software license.

Release information

The installer is unsigned. Core processing and native VST3 checks have passed, and loading has been confirmed in FL Studio on Windows. Listening tests and broader host compatibility testing are ongoing. The plugin is supplied without warranty under the applicable license.
